Laura Colorado

Laura Colorado, 55, of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home, on April 30, 2024. She left this world with a smile on her face, surrounded by her immediate, beloved friends and family that prayed over her as she passed. 

She is survived by her sister, Donna (Elias) Rangel; half-brother, Gary Riggs of Georgia; half-sister, Holly (Chris) Pendley and their two children; her children, Chadd (Kylie) Burch, Joseph Colorado, Ben (Mariely) Colorado, Christian (Keana) Colorado, and Selena Colorado; niece, Hollie (Blake) Smith; nephew, Hunter (Jordan) Herald; grandchildren, Mateo Ivan Garcia-Colorado, Xavier Colorado, and one on the way; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Bryant-Riggs; father, David Riggs; maternal grandparents, Robert and Elsie Bryant; and her paternal grandparents, Obe and Ella Riggs.

In life, Laura found immense joy in playing with her grandchildren and spending quality time with her family, including her beloved dog Bonita. She found solace and happiness in the melodies of music, and her smile illuminated the lives of those around her.

For over two decades, Laura dedicated herself to her work at McDonald's, where she served not only as an employee but also as a dedicated manager since April 9th, 2004. Her commitment and leadership touched the lives of her colleagues and customers alike.

Cremation has been chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
